Goals & Aspirations, oh my!

Two of my goals for the new year- for my physical self- are to be able to do a full split and a hand stand. Yes, in my 42nd year of life, these are two of my goals- things I've always wanted to do, so I figure I better get on with it. My plan is quite simply to practice every morning when I get up. I'm certain I can master this. (I've found two random pictures off the internet to illustrate my point).

Days like today are so incredibly beautiful, I just don't even know what to do with myself! The beauty and expansiveness that I feel is overwhelming.

Wheeeee! I'm Flying

Okay, big day! It's the eve of my birthday- July 4th. "What do you want do?" I ask my friend Robert. "I don't know, what do you want to do?" he retorts. But then, he gets this gleam in his eye. Mischief is adrift! "We need to do something really exciting before your birthday to get ready for your actual birthday adventure" (that's foreshadowing by-the-way- my birthday is going to be soooo super-fun!). "Well, what did you have in my mind?" I asked with a wee bit of trepidation. "Trapeze." Robert says with emphasis on the "z". "What do you mean, 'trapeze'?" And that's how it happened.  I deliberated on it for five seconds, and said, "YES!" Actually, I'm so shocked that I agreed to do this- it's so high up, it's no-hands, and it's scary! (but scary turned inside out is exhilarating, really). So, we went to the Santa MonicaPier and took trapeze lessons. I learned how to flip, catch, and soar thru the air. What a feeling. The first time I was instructed to let go of the bar and swing from my knees- 30 feet off the ground- the fear surged in me, but I just ignored it and let go. What a metaphor for life- Let go, let go, let go, and Soar! See it happen here

I Love the Vistas

This is my most favorite view at the moment. It's so lovely, it feels like I cannot even begin to take it all in. I just love it! Is this what Hawaii looks like? I hope I get to find out for myself one day.

On the Subject of Work

I have a second client! I've had to re-structure my thoughts about work. Originally, my intention was to work as a Personal Assistant for one client, but, things haven't gone quite like I'd planned (or hoped). Therefore, I'm restructuring, formally creating my own business, and taking on new clients. My official titles are now Personal Assistant & Professional Organizer. Today, my second client entered the picture. I'll be doing some massive organization work this one!

(The P.S. to this assignment was over 145 bags delivered to Good Will, Salvation Army, and a women's shelter! Barely scratched the surface, though.)
